HEWN is a sole trader (ABN 21 463 560 911) based on the Gold Coast, Queensland. We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). This policy explains what we collect through hewn.au and how we use it.
What we collect
When you make a commission enquiry or place an order, we collect the details you give us — your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), delivery address, and anything you tell us about the board you'd like. When you buy, your payment is handled by our payment provider; we don't see or store your full card number. As you browse, we also collect standard usage information (such as pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location) through cookies and analytics.
Cookies, analytics & advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure and improve our advertising. These tools set cookies and collect usage data about your visit. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics using Google's browser add-on, and manage ad preferences in your Facebook/Instagram account settings.
How we use your information
We use it to reply to your enquiry, make and deliver your board, process payments, keep proper business records, and — with the analytics and advertising tools above — to understand and improve the site and our marketing. We don't sell your personal information.
Who we share it with
We only share what's needed to run the business: our shipping carrier (to deliver your board), our payment provider (to take payment), our email and website host, and the analytics and advertising providers named above (Google and Meta). These providers handle your information under their own privacy terms.
Storage, security & overseas handling
We keep your information only as long as we need it, and take reasonable steps to protect it from loss, misuse or unauthorised access. No website or online service can be completely secure. Some of our providers (including Google and Meta) may store data on servers outside Australia.
Accessing or correcting your information
You can ask to access, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you at any time — just email contact@hewn.au and we'll help. If you have a privacy concern, contact us first and we'll do our best to resolve it.

We may update this policy from time to time; the current version always lives on this page.
